Welcome to the website of Patrick Hanlon – Artist.

Patrick is an Irish watercolour artist. He and his wife, Deirdre, have spent the past 20 years living between Naples, Florida, and Dublin.

Patrick’s association with art began many years ago in his schooldays, where he attended art classes. After his schooldays, art gave way to sport and studies in pursuit of his chosen profession. Living in Naples in southwest Florida, with its starry nights and sun-dappled days, its beautiful sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico, its unspoiled miles of beaches, and the untamed Everglades makes it a place that is referred to as “Paradise.”

The experience of being in an atmosphere of unique integration of sophistication and wilderness, which exists in few other places on earth, rekindled Patrick’s interest in art. He was fortunate to get the opportunity in Naples to attend art classes run by a professional New England artist. Patrick’s knowledge, skill set, techniques, and the quality of his work advanced rapidly under her tutoring.

This experience inspired and excited him not just to paint the South West Florida area subjects but also to paint the wild, rugged, and spectacular scenery of Ireland.
